I thought it was worthwhile to update that in the intervening 2 month Androids Ice cream sandwich version has more than doubled in the deployed base of Android smartphones from 3% to almost 7%! Android Ice cream sandwich ships with the ability to use Apples HLS format and is the first Android version to do so.
Can you play AES encrypted HLS.
